A Reading Terminal Market Favorite: Smucker's Pot Roast Sandwich

The Reading Terminal Market is home to the BEST homemade food in Philadelphia. Trust me! If you've lived in or visited Philadelphia and haven't been to the Reading Terminal Market (RTM) you are seriously missing out.

Going to RTM is such a treat. Whenever my parents come to visit we always make a point to get lunch at the RTM. My mom always tries something new every time she visits while my dad and I make a mad dash to .... SMUCKERS!

Smuckers is a dutch owned eatery located at the center of the market. You can't miss it with their huge sign! Smucker's is open for both breakfast and lunch, but they are known for their.... drum roll please.......POT ROAST SANDWICH!

This sandwich is the definition of "melt in your mouth." For less than $10.00 you can get a whole sandwich, a bag of chips and a drink, which is such a STELLAR deal! I get my pot roast sandwich with onions and american cheese. The cheese melts into the bread and the meat, adding that oeey gooeyness to the sandwich. You can't beat the meat though, it is so tender and so flavorful that you will want to savor every single bite. You will fall in love with Smucker's Pot Roast sandwich over and over again! As I write this I am literally thinking of when I can have another... so good.

The RTM is the perfect place to go if you have jury duty during the week, for Sunday brunch with the fam, or a great tourist spot to show off to visiting friends and relatives.
