How to Host THE BEST Game of Thrones Season Finale Party!
With season 6 of Game of Thrones coming to an end there is only one way to celebrate such an EPIC season and that is by throwing the BIGGEST Game of Thrones themed viewing party for you and your friends.
*SPOILER ALERT*
If you are all caught up by now you know this season has been one roller coaster of emotions after the other. With the death of beloved character Hodor, to the welcoming back of Benjin Stark. We can all feel that Winter is truly coming
but not before some crazy S^%t is about to go down.
Morgan and myself along with our good friends Michael and Emma at Click. Go. Review are pros at throwing GoT ragers by now. Here are some of our secrets to how to host the PERFECT GoT viewing Party!
Where TO Begin
The best way to go about inviting your friends over is by creating a Facebook event. Morgan is GREAT at this. The Facebook event allows you to invite any and all of your friends. Feel free to invite even the friends who don't watch GoT, but let them know they will be both confused and addicted at the same time. We always have a funny photo as our event theme. This years photo captures the hot and steamy love of our two NEW favorite GoT love birds:
Brienne of Tarth and Tormund the Wildling.
FOOD
Its no secret that Morgan and I love food so we spent most of our time and creativity into thinking about how to tie in the GoT theme into food. Alas, we did it. Our featured menu items are below.
Imp Cocktail Shrimp
Little Finger Chicken Fingers
The Hound Mini Corn Dogs
Theyon Grayjoy Wienies in a Blanket (hehe)
Sansa Salsa
Melted Golden Crown Cheese Dip
Hodoritos - (Morgan's favorite)
Jon Snow Caps Popcorn- a great snack to munch on during the episode.
Last but not least was the cru de ta Red Wedding Velvet Cake. The is a two layered red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. The red blood like substance atop the cake is melted white chocolate with red dye that was poured on top to make it look like the cake was bleeding. The chocolate was poured on top and as the night went on it spread out and melted off like it was still bleeding. Ew gross but yum!
Make sure to invest in paper plates, plastic cups, and plastic cutlery in order to save time cleaning up, because it's a Sunday night and most of us have to get up for work the next day!
Decorations
A few years ago Emma's birthday fell on the Season Premiere, so naturally we had a party! I decided to do a weekly count down on the Facebook event page where I would insert Emma's and a few of our lucky guests faces into classic GoT scenes. I then printed out the photos and posted them around the house for all to see when the party started. If you don't have time try just printing out some of the GoT sigils, it's a cool and classy way to decorate. The customized photos are something that takes a little bit of time, but in the end it's a great laugh. Some photos came out better than others, because obviously I am not a master photo editor. Below are some of my favorites!
This one is still a favorite of mine. It is Click. Go. Review's Emma MacDonald and Michael Castaneda as our hero Jon Snow and his lovely lady Ygritte the Wildling. This photo is very steamy!
Since it was Emma's birthday and she loves Arya Stark, I just had to make this one for her.
This one still makes me laugh so hard I cry. Our very own Morgan is Hodor and Emma is strapped to her back as Bran Stark.
