We have found the BEST sushi place in the city! It has amazing prices, an easy to get to location, and GREAT tasting sushi!
We highly suggest this little hole in the wall whenever you are in the Rittenhouse Square area. It's probably one of the only really low priced places in the area. We often visit Barnes and Nobles (because we are nerds) on our way. Also, it is the perfect place to sit down for dinner after visiting the beautiful Christmas Light display, that is at Rittenhouse Square. Its romantic and beautiful - good for ALL ages.
The secret to Machi Sushi is to order Rolls and Hand Roll, its a 3 roll special for only $11.75! Yep! You can get 3 rolls for just $11.75. We usually order one and all pick a type we like the best. Then we dive in trying our choice and each others! First, we got the Salmon roll, Shrimp Tempura roll and the Spicy Tuna roll! They were all delicious but Spicy Tuna Roll will always be my favorite.
Since we were still hungry we got another round of sushi! That's right! This time I choose Philadelphia role (Philadelphia cream cheese and Salmon), Eel cucumber roll and the Spicy Salmon roll. What can I say, Amber, Julee and I love spicy! My favorite thing about this place is that the variety is amazing. You can choose from over 30 types of sushi not to mention the Sashimi and other dishes they offer.
We left this Sushi place only paying $23.50 + tax and tip! Wow!!!! It is such a deal for three people it's incredible! I can't suggest this place enough! And if you want a secret to make the night even more special head over to our friends at Baril and get a night cap. They have fantastic drinks, (my favorite is the Hotty Toddy). Look out for Julee's next review about Baril! And vola! You have the most charming and fun date night in Philadelphia.
